How Green Bags Work
Fruits, vegetables and flowers release ethylene gas while ripening after harvesting or picking . Ethylene gas accelerates ripening, aging and rottoing . Green Bags absorb and remove this damaging gas , dramatically extending the life of fruits , vegetables and flowers .
How to use
Production should be DRY before putting into bag . Simply put fresh production into bags and wash / rinse production as usual before use . If storing washed production , be sure to be dry thoroughly before inserting in bag .
Use one bag for each type of production . For instance , use a bag for apples , another one for lettuce , another one for pears, etc . Even cut flowers can be preserved longer by placing arrangement in bag or pulling bag over top of vase .
Fold over the top of the bag - do not use twist -ties as they make holes .
